Encounter underway between security forces and terrorists in J-K’s Kishtwar, confirms Indian Army.

An exchange of fire broke out between Indian security forces and terrorists in the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir late Friday evening, according to Army officials.
The White Knight Corps confirmed the development in a post on X, stating: “In an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Kishtwar, alert troops of the White Knight Corps established contact with terrorists at around 8 pm.”
The Army further added, “The operations is currently underway,” indicating that the situation remains active.
The encounter follows a series of intelligence inputs and is part of ongoing counter-insurgency efforts in the region. Additional details are expected as the operation progresses.
