Thick smoke billowed from the Panoli GIDC site, prompting evacuation of workers and nearby Sanjali villagers

Bharuch: A major fire erupted on Sunday morning at the Sangavi Organics chemical factory located in the Panoli GIDC area of Bharuch district, Gujarat. Thick plumes of smoke were seen rising from the site, causing alarm among residents of nearby villages.
Emergency response teams quickly dispatched multiple fire tenders to the scene. Despite their efforts, a considerable portion of the facility was engulfed in flames. The fire prompted a precautionary evacuation of workers from the factory and residents of the surrounding Sanjali village.
Local authorities cordoned off the area to facilitate firefighting operations and ensure public safety. Firefighters and police personnel are actively involved in managing the situation and conducting rescue efforts.
At this stage, the cause of the blaze remains under investigation. Officials continue to monitor the incident closely to prevent further escalation. No casualties have been reported so far. More details are awaited.
