New Delhi: Gujarat ATS has uncovered a major espionage network on Thursday, arresting two individuals, including a Subedar in the Indian Army , for allegedly sharing sensitive information with Pakistan.
According to officials, the accused Subedar, AK Singh, was residing in Goa, while the second suspect, Rashmani Pal, was picked up from Daman, IANS reported. Both were reportedly in direct contact with Pakistani handlers and are accused of passing on classified military details.
Haryana lawyer arrested for spying is linked to terror funding
In a separate case, Haryana Police have arrested Rizwan, an advocate from Nuh district, for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s ISI and participating in a terror funding network.
Investigators said the accused had travelled to Punjab five times in the past three months to carry out financial transactions related to terror funding.
Rizwan is suspected to have moved around ₹45 lakh through hawala channels connected to terrorist operatives. Police sources indicate that handlers operating across Punjab, including networks linked to Pathankot, laundered over ₹1 crore in a short period to support terror activities.
As part of the investigation, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) initially detained Musharraf, a friend of Rizwan, but released him after questioning. The SIT later arrested Ajay Arora of Malaysian Patti in Jalandhar for allegedly sending money to Rizwan through hawala and facilitating the transactions, officials said.
