Vijayawada: A fire broke out on Tuesday at the Gannavaram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh, triggering panic among airport staff and passengers.

According to ANI, the blaze reportedly started in the Customs officials’ room, where flames suddenly erupted, damaging office equipment and luggage.

According to airport authorities, software equipment, a split air conditioner in the immigration room, and luggage bags belonging to Customs officials were gutted in the incident.

The airport fire and rescue personnel acted swiftly, rushing to the scene and bringing the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby areas.
