Noida: The owner of FIITJEE, along with 11 others, has been booked following a complaint from the parents of students enrolled at the coaching institute, after several of its centres in Delhi-NCR were shut down, police said on Saturday.

FIITJEE founder DK Goyal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Rajiv Babbar, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Manish Anand, and Ramesh Batlesh, head of the Greater Noida branch, have been named in the FIR, according to a Noida Police spokesperson.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Rambadan Singh confirmed that a case has been registered against them based on the parents' complaint, with charges including criminal conspiracy and breach of trust.

At least eight FIITJEE coaching centres in various parts of India had abruptly shut down over the past week, leaving thousands of students and their parents in a state of distress ahead of important board and entrance examinations. The sudden closures caused immense concern, as students are now unsure about the completion of their courses or the return of their fees.
