Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood star Dharmendra was discharged from Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on Wednesday morning after his family decided to continue his treatment at home, his treating doctor, Dr Pratit Samdani, confirmed to PTI. The 89-year-old actor has been hospitalised multiple times over the past few weeks due to health issues, most recently admitted on October 31 after complaining of breathlessness.

Dharmendra, fondly known as Bollywood's He-Man and the iconic "Sholay" star, was shifted to intensive care on November 10 for closer observation amid reports of his health deteriorating. The actor's family, including his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol and daughter Esha Deol, have been closely involved in his care, with numerous Bollywood celebrities such as Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Govinda visiting him at the hospital, highlighting the deep respect and affection he commands within the film fraternity.

Despite recent rumours circulating about his health, the family and official sources have consistently reassured fans that Dharmendra remains stable and is responding to treatment. Hema Malini, his wife, and Esha Deol have appealed for privacy and urged the public not to spread false news amidst the overwhelming concern from his admirers nationwide.
