He has been charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for assault with intent to outrage modesty and remains in custody.

Bengaluru: A 27-year-old delivery worker was arrested Monday for the alleged sexual harassment of a woman during Christmas festivities at a local shopping mall, according to police reports.
The suspect, identified as Manoj Chand, originally from Assam, was employed by an online food delivery platform.
Law enforcement officials stated that the complainant had been visiting the mall on Dec. 25 with her husband and child. The facility was experiencing high foot traffic as crowds gathered to mark the holiday.
A senior police officer reported that while the woman was standing near a prominent Christmas tree inside the building, the suspect, who was allegedly intoxicated, touched her inappropriately before attempting to flee the scene.
The victim immediately alerted her husband and nearby police officers, who had been stationed at the mall as part of a heightened holiday security detail. Personnel quickly intervened and apprehended the suspect on the premises.
Authorities have charged Chand under Section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertains to assault or criminal force against a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty. He remains in custody following his arrest.
