At least 10 workers are feared trapped after a massive crane collapsed at a construction site in Gujarat's Gandhinagar on Wednesday evening, triggering a major rescue operation.
Officials said around 10-15 workers were trapped after the crane came crashing down at the site in the Kudasan area of the state capital. Four workers have been rescued so far.
'As soon as the information was received, a local police team and four fire brigade vehicles rushed to the scene. A rescue operation is being carried out on a war footing,' an official said.
Ambulances have also been deployed at the site to provide immediate medical assistance to those rescued or injured. Rescue teams are continuing efforts to locate and evacuate workers feared trapped under the debris.
