Srinagar: Seven Keralites have tested positive for coronavirus in Kashmir. All seven of them took part in the Tablighi congregation at Nizamuddin.

All the seven Keralites, along with a Kashir native, reached Kashmir on March 27. They reached here directly after attending the congregation in Delhi. All of them were kept under observation immediately. The authorities shifted them to the quarantine centre at Pampore.

It was only yesterday that the results of COVID-19 tests were released. Following the confirmation of the disease, all the eight individuals were taken to Sreenagar Medical College Hospital. However, further details about the Keralites are awaited. So far, 18 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Kashmir.
