The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has extended support to the ongoing protest by job aspirants in Jharkhand, with founder Abhijeet Dipke announcing that party members will travel to Ranchi to stand with the students demanding an independent probe into alleged recruitment irregularities.

Speaking to reporters before the CJP core committee meeting in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Wednesday, Dipke said the organisation would support every demand raised by the protesters.

"We will definitely go to Jharkhand, we will stand with them and support their every demand in the agitation," he said.

Job aspirants have been holding an indefinite sit-in at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi since July 29. They are demanding that alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and other recruitment examinations be investigated by an independent panel of retired High Court judges from outside the state.

Dipke said the CJP intends to function as a public pressure group to push for accountability in institutions.

"People have lost faith in the judiciary, politics, media and the Election Commission. To bring accountability in these institutions, there is a need for a public pressure group," he said.

He ruled out any immediate political plans, saying the organisation would remain focused on public campaigns rather than electoral politics.

The announcement came ahead of a two-day meeting of the CJP's core team, where members are expected to discuss the organisation's future roadmap after its recent protests over the NEET paper leak and alleged examination irregularities.

Chief spokesperson Saurav Das said education activist Sonam Wangchuk would continue as the organisation's mentor. He also said the CJP would seek withdrawal of FIRs against students who participated in recent protests and continue providing legal and medical assistance to injured protesters.

The meeting is also expected to discuss issues including unemployment, ethanol-blended fuel and public trust in institutions. According to Dipke, decisions taken during the meeting will be announced after it concludes.

Separately, Das alleged that several YouTubers and media personnel entered his residence in New Delhi and filmed inside the house, calling it a violation of his family's privacy and a security concern. He said he had tagged Delhi Police on social media over the incident.

CJP representatives Ashutosh Ranka and Ratna Singh alleged that misinformation campaigns were being used to target the organisation and accused media commentator Abhijeet Iyer Mitra of making baseless allegations against the group's leaders. They also demanded police action over an earlier complaint filed against him.
