Birbhum: Bristi Mukherjee, the niece of Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee, was found hanging at her residence in Rampurhat, Birbhum district, on Tuesday. The deceased was the daughter of Banerjee’s maternal cousin Nihar Mukherjee, a TMC local leader in Rampurhat. Family members discovered her body inside her room before immediately alerting local authorities.
Job Loss and Personal Distress
According to reports, family members stated that the 30-year-old had been suffering from severe depression for the past four to five years and was undergoing medical treatment.
