Three sisters allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the ninth floor of their apartment building in Ghaziabad on Wednesday early morning, police said.

The incident took place around 2.30 am in the Bharat City area. The victims were identified as Vishika (16), Prachi (14) and Pakhi (12). According to the police, the sisters were reportedly addicted to a Korea-based online gaming application and were not attending school regularly.

Investigators said a suicide note was recovered from the scene, in which the girls wrote, “Mummy, Papa, sorry.” Further investigation is under way to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident.
