Hyderabad: A security alert was triggered at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on Friday after a bomb threat email was received concerning a Lufthansa flight arriving from Frankfurt, Germany, officials said.
According to airport sources, the airline’s customer support team received an email claiming that an explosive device had been placed on flight LH-754 and would be detonated before the aircraft reached Shamshabad. Security agencies were immediately informed, prompting the activation of emergency protocols.
Despite the threat, the flight landed safely at Hyderabad airport. Following its arrival, the aircraft was directed to an isolation bay for a detailed security inspection.
Bomb disposal squads and airport security personnel subsequently conducted a thorough search of the aircraft. Officials stated that checks were still in progress, and no credible threat had been confirmed at the time of reporting.
