Mumbai Police’s probe into an alleged Dawood Ibrahim–linked drug network has taken a sharp turn toward Bollywood, with several actors and film-industry figures emerging during the investigation.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) recently dismantled what they describe as a major mephedrone (MD) syndicate allegedly operated by Dubai-based drug trafficker Salim Dola, believed to be an associate of underworld fugitive Dawood Ibrahim.

According to investigators, Dola is suspected of controlling the supply chain from Dubai, pushing mephedrone—popularly known as M-Cat, Meow Meow or Ice—into seven to eight states in India and shipping large quantities abroad.

His son Taher Dola, extradited from the UAE in August, has reportedly provided key information during interrogation.

Confidential documents cited by India Today suggest that Taher admitted to organising drug-fuelled parties both in India and overseas, allegedly attended by film personalities, models, rappers, and individuals connected to the underworld.

“Further investigation into the said accused No. 05 has revealed that he is organising drug parties in the country and abroad and supplying drugs to those parties.”

It further adds that Taher allegedly arranged such parties with Alisha Parkar, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, and her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Zishan Siddiqui, Ori (Orhan), Abbas-Mastaan, Loka, among “many other people,” while also participating in them himself.

No wrongdoing has been legally established against any of the individuals named; the statements remain part of an ongoing investigation.

Apart from the ANC, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Mumbai Crime Branch are also probing financial and operational links of the alleged syndicate. Sources say the Crime Branch plans to summon the film personalities, rappers, and filmmakers mentioned in the documents for statements and may consider additional action based on their responses.
