The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released another AI-generated video targeting Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, this time satirising his failure to secure the Chief Minister’s post.

Shared by the BJP’s Karnataka unit, the clip depicts Shivakumar attempting to purchase a CM’s chair on Amazon, only to find it marked “out of stock.”

The video forms part of a broader trend, with the BJP using AI-driven political content in recent weeks to lampoon Congress leaders in the state.

The latest clip references the internal tussle within the Congress, where Shivakumar had been seen as a strong contender for the Chief Ministership before the party ultimately chose Siddaramaiah for the role.

Earlier, the BJP had posted another AI-generated video showing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in a simulated Facebook Live session, appearing irritated as he read comments from viewers.

As speculation intensifies over a leadership change in Karnataka, a section of Congress MLAs backing Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar returned from New Delhi on Tuesday, asserting that his elevation as Chief Minister is imminent, but stressing that the party high command will take the final decision.

Ramanagara MLA Iqbal Hussain sounded confident about the outcome.

I always stand by that statement… 200 per cent, he will become the CM soon. The high command will decide. As our leader (Shivakumar) said, the transfer of power is a secret deal among five to six party leaders, and those five to six people will decide,” he said.
