Several people, including women and children, were injured after a giant swing collapsed at a Disneyland fair in Bihar’s Sasaram.

Bihar: A major accident was reported at a Disneyland-themed fair in Bihar’s Sasaram on Friday evening after a large amusement ride reportedly collapsed during operation, leaving several people injured, including women and children.
The incident took place on May 15, 2026, when the fairgrounds were crowded with visitors enjoying the evening festivities. According to eyewitnesses, the giant swing was operating at full speed when it suddenly developed a technical fault and lost control while rotating in the air.
Panic spread across the venue as the ride allegedly detached from its axis and crashed, throwing several riders to the ground. Screams and confusion quickly turned the busy fair area into a scene of chaos, with people rushing to help the injured.
Local residents and fair organizers immediately launched rescue efforts and pulled victims from the damaged structure before emergency teams arrived. Police officials soon reached the spot and began managing the situation.
All injured individuals were shifted to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for medical treatment. Hospital authorities confirmed that several women and children sustained injuries in the accident.
Dr. Manish Kumar, speaking about the incident, said, “Some women and a child sustained injuries following an accident at Disneyland. They are currently undergoing treatment at the Sadar Hospital. Some have already been treated, while others have been sent for CT scans and are receiving further medical care”.
The exact number of injured people has not yet been officially confirmed. Authorities are expected to investigate whether negligence, poor maintenance, or a technical failure caused the ride to collapse.
