BJP appoints Bihar minister Nitin Nabin as national working president in a key organisational move

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday appointed Bihar minister Nitin Nabin as its national working president.
An official notification released by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh confirmed that the party’s Parliamentary Board has approved the appointment. Nitin Nabin is presently serving as a minister in the Bihar government.
According to the order, “The BJP Parliamentary Board has appointed Shri Nitin Nabin, Minister, Government of Bihar, as the National Executive President of the Bharatiya Janata Party.”
Nabin is presently a Minister of Road Construction of Bihar in the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself showered effusive praise on Nabin's appointment as national working president, saying he has distinguished himself as a hardworking Karyakarta.
"He is a young and industrious leader with rich organisational experience and has an impressive record as MLA as well as Minister in Bihar for multiple terms. He has diligently worked to fulfil people's aspirations.
"He is known for his humble nature and grounded style of working. I am confident that his energy and dedication will strengthen our party in the times to come," Modi said.
Who is Nitin Nabin?
Nitin Nabin is a senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Bihar with a long-standing association with the party. A native of Patna, he is the son of the late Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha, a respected BJP figure and former Member of the Legislative Assembly. He stepped into active electoral politics after his father’s passing.
The 45-year-old minister represents the Bankipur Assembly constituency in Patna and is regarded as one of the BJP’s most consistent leaders in the state. He has secured four consecutive terms as an MLA, beginning with his by-election win in 2006.
In the latest Bihar Assembly elections, he won Bankipur with a commanding margin of more than 51,000 votes, defeating RJD candidate Rekha Kumari.
