Bengaluru: A 32-year-old woman was found murdered in southeastern Bengaluru, with her body stuffed inside a suitcase, police said on Thursday.

The victim has been identified as Gauri Khedekar. She lived with her husband, Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar in a flat in Doddakammanahalli.

Speaking to ANI, Sarah Fathima, DCP south-east Bengaluru said, "Body of a 32-year-old woman, Guri Khedekar found near Ambedkar Apartment in Doddanekundi Village, Bengaluru. She was the wife of Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar (36 years). Her body was found in a suitcase. The husband and wife were living in Hulimavu police station limits. Both belonged to Maharashtra. The body has been sent for postmortem."

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and further details are awaited.
