From idli and masala poha to paneer and chicken, here's what passengers will get for breakfast and dinner on the Bengaluru-Mumbai Vande Bharat Sleeper.

Bengaluru: Passengers travelling on the Bengaluru-Mumbai Vande Bharat Sleeper train will be served a selection of regional dishes for breakfast and dinner, with the onboard menu featuring South Indian favourites, Maharashtrian-style options and other meal choices.
According to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), breakfast options will include idli with sambhar, masala poha, kesari bhath, vegetable cutlets and a two-egg omelette. Morning tea will also be served.
Dinner will include a choice of lemon rice or steamed rice, along with chapati or paratha. Passengers can opt for Karnataka-style sambhar or yellow dal tadka, accompanied by paneer or a chicken dish. Packed curd or buttermilk, sweets and other accompaniments will also be provided.
The menu is part of the Railways' plan to offer region-specific cuisine on Vande Bharat Sleeper services. The Ministry of Railways had earlier said that passengers would be served traditional dishes associated with the regions through which the train operates.

The train is the country's third Vande Bharat Sleeper service, following the Howrah-Kamakhya and Varanasi-New Delhi services.
