This follows a similar incident where 11 other Bangladeshis were apprehended the previous day.

Barasat: At least 45 Bangladeshi nationals, including 11 children, were detained in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district on Saturday while attempting to cross the international border illegally, police said.
According to Basirhat Superintendent of Police Hossain Mehedi Rahaman, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel intercepted the group at Hakimpur as they tried to enter Bangladesh without valid documents. Among those apprehended were 15 women and 11 children, all of whom were handed over to the police by the BSF.
Rahaman said the detained individuals had been working in different areas of Kolkata and Rajarhat. They were produced before the Basirhat Court and sent to 14-day judicial custody.
The SP added that a day earlier, BSF troops had caught 11 other Bangladeshis, including four children, in the same district and handed them over to the Swaroop Nagar Police Station.
