Bangalore: Residents woke up to a chilly Sunday as the weather in Bangalore turned cloudy and rainy, influenced by Cyclone Ditwah moving along India’s east coast. Early morning temperatures dropped to 19°C, marking a noticeable departure from seasonal norms.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bangalore weather today includes light morning rain followed by heavy showers in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures in the city are expected to hover around 22–24°C, while minimums remain near 16–18°C, making it one of the coolest days of the season so far.

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre has advised residents to be prepared for moderate rain over the weekend, as the weather in Bangalore continues to be influenced by Cyclone Ditwah. Moisture from the cyclone is moving inland, creating cloudy skies and intermittent rain across the South Interior regions.

Health experts have also cautioned residents, particularly sensitive groups, as the Air Quality Index (AQI) remains concerning. With PM2.5 and PM10 levels elevated, the weather in Bangalore may pose additional health risks despite the cooler temperatures.
