Renowned wrestler and BJP leader Babita praised the people of Haryana for electing her party to power for a record third time in the state.

“Hail Constitution, hail Hanuman, hail soldier, hail farmer, hail wrestler… infinite congratulations and best wishes to the people of Haryana and all the workers for rejecting the rumors and lies of Congress and trusting the development policies of the BJP, Nayab Singh Saini, and the leadership of our respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” she tweeted following her party’s stellar performance.

Interestingly, Babita did not offer any words of appreciation for her cousin, renowned wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who won as a Congress candidate from the Julana constituency.

The cousins have reportedly been experiencing a fallout stemming from political differences and family matters. Babita had previously called out Vinesh for being disrespectful to her father, Mahavir Phogat, who was Vinesh’s coach.
