Rayavaram (Andhra Pradesh): Six people lost their lives and two others were injured in a blaze that broke out at a firecracker manufacturing unit on Wednesday, police confirmed.
The incident occurred at a licensed fireworks facility, with initial suspicions pointing to mishandling of materials as the possible cause of the fire.
District Superintendent of Police Rahul Meena stated that all six bodies have been recovered and identification is underway. "Yes, six bodies have been found. We are verifying the details of the bodies. I believe it was a licensed unit," he told PTI.
The two injured individuals have been taken to hospital for treatment. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
