
Mandi, Himachal Pradesh: At least 31 people were injured when a tourist bus overturned early this morning on the Chandigarh-Manali highway near Mandi, officials said.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sagar Chander, the bus was travelling towards Kasol in the Parvati Valley of Kullu district when the accident occurred at around 4:00 AM.
Among the injured were the bus driver and conductor. Two passengers are reported to be in critical condition and have been referred to Nerchowk Medical College for advanced medical care. Six others sustained serious injuries, while the remaining passengers suffered minor wounds.
Preliminary investigations suggest that over-speeding may have been the main cause of the accident. Authorities are continuing to probe the incident.
