A 19-year-old social media influencer, native of Chhattisgarh, has died by suicide while live-streaming on Instagram. The terrible act was witnessed by at least 21 of her followers as well.
The incident took place on Thursday in Janjgir Champa district. It has been reported that young influencer had been struggling with heartbreak in love, which is believed to have led her to the suicide, as per reports. Her followers were unable to do anything about the incident as most of them did not know her personally.

During the live stream, some of her followers attempted to intervene. A few locals even rushed to her home in Nawagarh town, 150 km from Raipur. However, her house was locked from inside, and by the time neighbors broke in and reached her room. She was declared dead by doctors at a nearby health center.
The family reportedly told police that the victim was deeply involved in social media. The girl would often post reels and videos that garnered a considerable number of views. According to reports, ne of her Instagram followers told police that he felt helpless about the situation as he did not know her personally. He also added that he didn't know how to reach her to save her. Another follower attempted to call her phone but couldn't connect.
Police are currently examining her mobile phone for clues to understand more about the tragic incident.
