Alia Bhatt has joined the growing list of celebrities expressing solidarity with students involved in the CJP-led protests, sharing a message of support for those demanding accountability and reforms in India’s education and examination system.

In a post shared on social media, Alia spoke about the emotional impact of the events surrounding the student movement and said the courage of the protesters had deeply affected her. She wrote, “The last few days have broken my heart and then mended it, again and again, with hope.”

Without directly naming specific individuals or political leaders, the actor highlighted the struggles behind every student participating in the protests. Alia said that each student represented not only their own aspirations but also the hopes of their families and the sacrifices made throughout their journeys.

“Behind every student standing their ground is a dream, a family's hope, a journey of countless sacrifices,” she wrote, adding that the students also represented those who had supported them and those who would follow their path in the future.

The actor further praised the protesters for their courage and resolve. She wrote that their actions had raised a larger question about whether society was genuinely listening to the young people who would inherit and shape the country's future.

Her post comes amid the CJP-led student protests, which have centred on concerns over examination irregularities, the NEET-UG paper leak controversy and wider issues within India’s education system. The movement has also seen students demand accountability, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, justice for students affected by alleged examination irregularities, compensation for families of students who died by suicide and broader reforms to the examination system.

The protests culminated in the CJP-led “Sansad Chalo” student protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on July 20, with thousands of students and supporters taking part. The movement has also drawn support from figures from the entertainment industry, including Salman Khan, Shabana Azmi, Nazeeruddhin Shah, Dulquer Salman, Tovino Thomas and now Alia Bhatt.
