Veliyannoor: Haritha Karma Sena members have accomplished a commendable deed by retrieving a lost car key, which was misplaced eight months ago due to the negligence of a courier company, and returning it to its rightful owner. The Haritha Karma Sena members of Veliyannoor Panchayat wards one and two received the abandoned envelope containing the key.

The spare key booked by Nikhil Anil, a native of Koothattukulam, was lost on the wayside due to the irresponsibility of the courier company. Anyway, Nikhil is relieved that the long search has come to an end.

Nikhil Anil was supposed to receive the keys through a private courier company in September. The courier left it on the road with the garbage instead of giving it to the owner. Nikhil has been going to the car dealer in Pala and the courier office for months to get the keys.

While cleaning the bottle booth set up at the Puthuveli bridge intersection, as part of the pre-monsoon clean-up, Haritha Karma Sena personnel got the envelope containing the key from the plastic waste.

Veliyannoor Panchayat President Sajesh Shashi informs about the discovery of the key at the stage of legal proceedings. Nikhil was identified by the address on the envelope.

Manisha, Reena, and Rakhi handed over the envelope containing the key to the panchayat office. In the presence of Sajesh Shashi, Ward Member Jimmy James, and Secretary T. Gigi, Haritha Karma Sena personnel handed over the keys to the owner.
