
Thiruvananthapuram: The murders in the Venjaramoodu massacre took place between 10 am and 6 pm, according to SP K.S. Sudarshan IPS, who confirmed that five people have been confirmed dead and one is receiving treatment.
The accused, Affan, surrendered at the Pangode police station and was later admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital on suspicion of consuming poison.
Speaking to the media, the SP revealed that three cases have been registered in connection with the murders. Due to Affan’s hospitalisation, his statement could not be fully recorded.
He stated that more information regarding the murders, weapons, and the family's financial situation would be provided after the postmortem.
Further investigation will also address the possibility of drug use.
