A 47-year-old woman from Thrissur succumbed to injuries sustained while resisting a sexual assault attempt in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru: A 47-year-old woman from Thrissur has succumbed to injuries sustained while resisting a violent sexual assault attempt in Bengaluru.
The victim, a native of Pathamkallu at Vadanappilly in Thrissur had recently relocated to Bengaluru for employment as a canine caretaker.
The incident occurred on May 3. Thrissur East Police are currently conducting an intensive search for the suspect, identified as Deepak Krishnan, a Malayali man residing in Bengaluru.
A video has surfaced in which the accused, Deepak Krishna, purportedly admits to the assault. In the footage, he reportedly confesses to attacking the woman and mentions that she had been transported away in an ambulance. Authorities are using the evidence to track his whereabouts.
