Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly received another threatening message, this time via the WhatsApp number of the Mumbai Traffic Police. The sender has demanded Rs 5 crore, warning that Khan must pay up if he wishes to stay alive and resolve his ongoing enmity with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

The sender claimed, "Don't take it lightly, if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and wants to end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, then he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given, Salman Khan's condition will be worse than Baba Siddique."

The police have confirmed that an investigation is underway regarding the threat. The situation has escalated following recent tensions surrounding Khan's past legal issues, particularly his conviction for killing a blackbuck in 1998 during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hai.

Devendra Vishnoi, the national president of the Akhil Bharatiya Bishnoi Mahasabha, publicly reiterated that Salman Khan is guilty of wrongdoing and should apologise to the Bishnoi community.

“He is guilty of the Bishnoi community as well as of society. Killing a blackbuck is a legal crime. Our Bishnoi community does not allow it. Salman Khan is definitely guilty in the eyes of the Bishnoi community. Our community has been bearing this pain for the last 24 years, and in such a situation, Salman Khan should apologise to society,” said Devendra Vishnoi.

He added that apologising to society does not make a person small, but Salman Khan will ultimately have to apologise. “If apologising brings peace and relief, then it is a commendable act. Salman Khan should definitely apologise,” Vishnoi stated.

In May this year, Somy Ali, who was reportedly in a relationship with Salman Khan years ago, expressed that the Bishnoi community should forgive him. She made a heartfelt appeal back in May 2024, requesting them to let go of their grievances against Khan.

“Making mistakes is part of human nature. No one is perfect. But if you're attempting to kill someone, then you're crossing the line. Salman was much younger in 1998. I urge the head of the Bishnoi tribe to forget about it and move on. I apologise on his behalf if he has made a mistake. Please forgive him,” the actress said.

Following the killing of Baba Siddique by the Bishnoi gang, security has been heightened around Salman Khan.
