Thamarassery: Another student has been taken into custody in connection with the murder of Class X student Shahbaz from Thamarassery. According to the police, the individual being detained is also a Class X student who was directly involved in the incident. The student was taken into custody on Tuesday morning. A detailed interrogation will take place soon, according to police sources.

Meanwhile, the police are investigating a possible conspiracy angle, including the involvement of the students' family members and other adults in Shahbaz's murder. The investigation team is also examining whether individuals with alleged links to quotation gangs had a direct role in the attack.

The police had previously received information that the weapon used to crush the skull of Muhammad Shahbaz was a nunchaku, which is reportedly owned by the father of the main suspect. This weapon was found at the suspect's house, and the investigative team has sent it for scientific examination under the guidance of a forensic expert.
