Kozhikode: Anticipatory bail applications have been filed by the accused Rahul's mother and sister in connection with the Pantheerankavu dowry case. They assert that they were not involved in the alleged assault on the woman.

In their application, they pointed out that the woman's initial statement did not mention any complaints against them. They claim that the woman later filed a complaint against them under pressure from her parents.

The application also highlighted that the Pantheerankavu police have been persistently calling them, indicating an imminent arrest. They argued that the police are hastening to arrest them to appease the media.
