Thiruvananthapuram: Further allegations have emerged against Manu, the former coach of the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) in Thiruvananthapuram. The father of a young girl who fell victim to his actions has come forward with disturbing details.

The father accused Manu of taking nude pictures of the girl and molesting her in the washroom. Manu allegedly frequently took nude and semi-nude pictures of girls on his phone. He claimed these photos were needed for submission to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and KCA to assess their body shape. However, neither BCCI nor KCA had ever requested such photos. Manu also threatened to send the nude pictures to the BCCI and KCA.

The father also detailed the torture his daughter endured in the washroom. After the brutal torture, when the child screamed, she was forcibly held and molested.

The father claimed that Manu's method involved drugging the girls before torturing them. This reportedly took place in Tenkasi, where the children were taken under false pretences. One girl woke up in Manu's room after being drugged the previous night.

Currently, six girls have lodged complaints against Manu. The police have registered his arrest in six cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Manu is currently in remand.

Manu, who coached for KCA in Thiruvananthapuram, allegedly exploited many minor girls under the guise of cricket practice. The girls reported that they were taken to a cricket tournament in Tenkasi, where they were raped and photographed in a hotel.

The accused has served as a cricket coach in Thiruvananthapuram for around ten years. A year and a half ago, a girl filed a molestation complaint against him, leading to his arrest and the police filing a charge sheet. However, Manu was acquitted after the complainant changed her statement. Despite this, he continued to work as a coach for KCA in Thiruvananthapuram.

A new complaint against Manu emerged three weeks ago during a Pink Cricket Tournament organised by the Kerala Cricket Association. The complaint stated that Manu sexually assaulted a girl under the guise of training. Following the registration of the case, more girls came forward with similar complaints. To date, the police have registered cases based on the complaints of six girls. An investigation was conducted in Tenkasi based on statements that Manu took the girls there and tortured them.

Complaints also indicate that Manu inappropriately touched the girls during net practice.

The accused regularly bought and kept these photos on his mobile phones. The police have taken two mobile phones used by the accused into custody.
