A relationship dispute in Kolkata’s Behala has led to shocking allegations of assault and public humiliation, with a father claiming he and his son were forced to walk naked along a road. Three people have reportedly been detained.

A man and his son were allegedly assaulted, threatened and forced to walk naked along a road in Kolkata’s Behala area following a dispute over the son’s relationship with a minor girl, according to reports. The incident reportedly took place in the Sarshuna area on Sunday night.
According to the allegations, the girl’s family objected to her relationship with the young man.
The family allegedly confronted the couple on the road on Sunday night and assaulted the young man. When one of his friends intervened to rescue him, he was also allegedly beaten.
The young man’s father was subsequently summoned to the spot after being threatened with violence, the report said. According to the father’s complaint, he too was assaulted after arriving at the location.
The father alleged that the girl’s family gave him three options: shoot his son with a firearm allegedly shown to him, attack him with a sharp weapon, or walk naked along the road with his son.
When he refused the first two options, the father and son were allegedly forced to remove their clothes and walk naked for around 500 metres.
The incident was reportedly recorded on camera, and the victims were allegedly threatened with the video being circulated online.
The incident has reportedly shocked locals. Police have detained three people in connection with the case, identified in reports as the girl’s parents and maternal uncle.
However, the young man alleged that around six people were involved in the assault and claimed that not everyone involved had been apprehended.
The report did not include further details of the investigation or the police’s version of events.
