Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police on Friday stated that there is currently no evidence that anyone has received the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) question papers and answer keys circulated on social media a day ago.

In a statement by the State Police Media Centre (SPMC), the police urged candidates to be cautious and not fall for such scams or transfer money for the question papers.

The statement also mentioned that the investigation into the social media announcement regarding the sale of question papers and answer keys has been intensified.

Police warned that any attempt to undermine the examination process constitutes an offence and assured that strict legal action would be taken against those responsible.

The statement further noted that all types of social media are under strict surveillance 24 hours a day.

After completing MBBS studies abroad, individuals who wish to practise in India must pass the FMGE, conducted by the National Board of Examinations.

The City Cyber Crime Police in Thiruvananthapuram registered a case on Thursday against groups advertising the sale of question papers for the July 6 exam on Telegram.

The case was registered under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act 2024, marking the first instance of its kind in the state to be registered under this law.
