A Google Pay dispute on a Kannur bus turned violent after a passenger allegedly punched the conductor and broke his nose. Police arrested him.

Kannur: A dispute over Google Pay on a bus turned violent after a passenger attacked the conductor, leaving him with a serious nose injury. The passenger, a native of Panoor, was arrested by Kuthuparamba police.
The incident took place on a Sunstar bus operating on the Kuthuparamba-Panoor route. The bus was travelling from Kuthuparamba to Panoor when the dispute broke out at Pookode.
According to police, the passenger became aggressive after conductor Raghavan told him that Google Pay was not available for making the ticket payment. The passenger punched Raghavan in the face, causing a serious injury to his nose.
Raghavan was taken to a private hospital in Thalassery for treatment.
The accused also allegedly attacked the bus driver and other passengers who tried to stop him from assaulting the conductor.
Kuthuparamba police arrested the Panoor native in connection with the incident. Police suspect that he may have been under the influence of an intoxicating substance at the time of the attack.
Further investigation is underway.
