New Delhi: Delhi Police has successfully busted a major illegal immigration racket, arresting 11 individuals, including document forgers, Aadhaar operators, and tech experts involved in creating fake websites to facilitate illegal immigration. The accused were involved in producing counterfeit Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and other forged documents to help Bangladeshi nationals enter India.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South, Ankit Chauhan, the illegal immigrants used jungle routes and express trains to cross into Indian territory. The arrested individuals created fake documents through a fraudulent website, enabling the Bangladeshi nationals to stay in the country illegally.

DCP Chauhan confirmed that 11 individuals have been arrested so far for their role in the racket, which involved producing fake Aadhaar and voter ID cards, among other documents. The police operation was part of a larger crackdown on illegal immigration in the capital.

In response to the growing issue, Delhi's Lieutenant Governor has directed the Chief Secretary and the Commissioner of Police to launch a special two-month drive aimed at identifying and taking strict action against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants residing in the national capital.

Sources within Delhi Police revealed that over 1,000 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants have already been identified across the city. The ongoing operation includes door-to-door verification, document scrutiny, and interrogations. Special teams comprising local police and foreign cells have been deployed to conduct targeted operations to combat illegal immigration.
