A Hyderabad-based casting agent has been booked after a 26-year-old actress alleged that he misbehaved with her after calling her on the pretext of paying Rs 90,000 in pending remuneration.

A cinema casting agent has been booked in Hyderabad after a film actress alleged that he misbehaved with her and failed to pay her remuneration, police said on Monday.
According to police, the alleged incident took place in January this year, while the complaint was filed on June 12 by the 26-year-old actress.
Investigators said the accused, who arranges junior artists for films, had offered the woman a role in a movie. Although the shooting was completed last year, he allegedly did not pay her the agreed remuneration of Rs 90,000.
In her complaint, the actress alleged that the casting agent called her to a location on the pretext of settling the pending payment but later misbehaved with her inside a car.
Based on the complaint, a case has been registered at the Banjara Hills Police Station. Police said the accused has not been taken into custody yet and will be summoned for questioning as part of the investigation.
