In a shocking revelation, Manikandan, a security guard working at Kozhikode's Koombara Mata quarry, has shared disturbing details about Chenthamara, the main accused in the Nenmara double murder case. Manikandan, who worked with Chenthamara for several months, disclosed that the accused had plans to kill two more people.

According to Manikandan, Chenthamara, who had been jailed for a previous murder, spoke to him about his violent tendencies and dark past. "He did mention that he had been to jail before for murder and that he had stayed in two jails." The security guard also mentioned that Chenthamara gave him a mobile phone in the name of friendship, though he clearly stated that their relationship was strictly professional, limited to their work at the quarry.

Speaking about him, Manikandan said Chenthamara's behaviour was more like that of a 'contract killer', someone who could get angry easily, and that they had also had heated arguments a few times. "He had even mentioned that he would kill two more people before his death," Manikandan stated.

Manikandan further revealed that Chenthamara had confided in him about his troubled family life, mentioning that he felt destroyed by his family's actions.

Chenthamara, a resident of Nenmara, had been working at the Koombara Mata quarry from mid-2023 until early December 2024. Mohandas, the manager of Mata Industries, which operates the quarry, stated that Chenthamara had joined the job through a security agency in Palakkad. "He was serious, didn’t speak much, and always kept his head down. He never seemed happy, and from his conversations, it appeared that his bitterness stemmed from his personal life," Mohandas said.

Chenthamara’s behaviour had raised eyebrows, but Mohandas explained that they believed his attitude was a result of his strained family relations and did not investigate further. "From his conversation, it could be understood that he was a misogynist. We thought his issues with his family were the reason for his behaviour," Mohandas added.

The tragic double murder in Nenmara occurred on Monday morning when Chenthamara, who had been released from prison on bail, brutally murdered Lakshmi and her son Sudhakaran. The victims were neighbours of Chenthamara. Lakshmi was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her injuries, while Sudhakaran was taken to Palakkad District Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Chenthamara, who had previously served a prison term for the murder of Sudhakaran’s wife, Sajitha, reportedly committed the double murder upon his release from jail. The police are currently conducting an intense manhunt to apprehend the accused, who is absconding.
