New Delhi: Two people, including a woman, were allegedly assaulted at a nightclub located inside a five-star hotel on Ashoka Road. The Delhi Police confirmed that an FIR has been registered and an investigation is underway.
According to the police, the complainant, 23-year-old Vijay Malhotra, reported that he and his cousin, Shashi Jaggi, were at the nightclub for a party in the early hours of July 1, 2025.
Malhotra claimed that a dispute erupted with the staff regarding the condition of the toilet while he was in the restroom. He alleged that two bouncers then assaulted him.
Woman attacked while intervening
As per the FIR, when Jaggi attempted to intervene, she too was beaten. The bouncers allegedly threatened the pair and forcibly removed them from the premises.
The case has been registered at Connaught Place police station. Police have begun their inquiry into the incident.
