Rajveer Dey entered Bigg Boss Bangla as a wildcard after Anindya Sengupta’s exit and quickly found himself at the centre of clashes, controversies and new equations.

Bigg Boss Bangla has barely entered its third season, but wildcard entrant Rajveer Dey has already managed to become one of the most talked-about contestants inside the house. Entering the show on September 6, eight days after the season began with 15 contestants, the Siliguri-born model and actor arrived following Anindya Sengupta’s eviction, and wasted little time making his presence felt.
Hosted by Sourav Ganguly, the reality show marks the return of Bigg Boss Bangla after a 10-year gap and airs on Star Jalsha, while streaming on JioHotstar.
Dey’s arrival, however, has brought a distinctly disruptive energy to the house.
Within days, his interactions with fellow contestants have turned into confrontations, while his growing equations with others have added another layer of intrigue.
If the current dynamics are anything to go by, Dey appears to have positioned himself against much of the house, whether deliberately or simply as a consequence of his aggressive game.
Dey’s first clash: Fight over bed
One of his earliest flashpoints came during a disagreement with Monami Ghosh over sleeping arrangements.
What began as a seemingly ordinary house dispute escalated as Dey refused to give up the bed, prompting other contestants to intervene.
The incident offered an early glimpse of what viewers could expect from the wildcard entrant.
Rather than attempting to ease himself into the group quietly, Dey appeared willing to stand his ground even when it meant locking horns with other housemates.
His interactions with Ghosh and others soon became a talking point, while his proximity to Mumbai-based Instagram influencer and fellow contestant Jayita Chatterjee also drew attention inside the house.
From ‘chamgi mumgi’ to ‘flock of sheep’
The controversies did not stop with the sleeping arrangement.
During a task, Dey’s use of the phrase ‘chamgi mumgi’ while addressing Sayak sparked another argument, with the latter responding to the remark.
In another tense exchange, Dey referred to some of the contestants as a ‘flock of sheep’.
That description did not go down well with Dipendu Biswas, who confronted Dey over his choice of words.
The confrontation further underlined the widening friction between the newcomer and some of the established housemates.
However, Dey’s approach inside the house has not been limited to verbal sparring.
His game also appears to involve tactical alliances and attempts to influence situations around him.
Jayita Chatterjee equation adds another twist
Dey’s equation with Chatterjee has also attracted attention. In one instance, reports suggested that he attempted to influence her during her confrontation with Tanushree Roy Das.
He subsequently described the move as part of his game plan, turning the episode into another talking point among the contestants.
For a wildcard entrant who has spent only a short time inside the house, the number of equations and confrontations surrounding him is already striking.
Who is Rajveer Dey?
While Dey may have been a relatively unfamiliar name to many viewers of the Bengali entertainment industry before entering Bigg Boss Bangla, he is not new to the world of modelling, television, or reality shows.
Born in Siliguri, Dey has been working in Mumbai for several years. His television journey reportedly began in 2020, following which he appeared in television serials and advertisements.
He subsequently participated in MTV’s Roadies: Karm Ya Kaand in 2023, giving him an additional connection to the reality television space and helping him gain recognition among younger audiences.
Dey also has a modelling achievement to his name. He won the Peter England Mr India title in 2017.
His acting credits include appearances in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ and ‘Puncch Beat 2’.
What does Rajveer’s entry mean for Bigg Boss Bangla?
Dey’s entry has arrived at an early but crucial stage of Bigg Boss Bangla Season 3.
With the initial group already finding its rhythm, the wildcard has entered with a different set of relationships, experiences and strategies.
His modelling credentials, television work and Roadies experience give him familiarity with the reality-show environment.
Inside the Bigg Boss house, however, that experience is being tested through clashes, alliances and the constant pressure of living with the same group of contestants.
For now, one thing is clear: Rajveer Dey has not entered Bigg Boss Bangla to fade into the background.
Whether his confrontational approach eventually works in his favour or makes him the house’s common target could become one of the season’s more closely watched storylines.
