Television junior artist Sanjib Singh has reportedly died after suffering a suspected heart attack shortly after completing a 13-hour shooting schedule in Mumbai.

He was returning home in the early hours of Sunday after filming for the TV show ‘Dr Aarambhi’ when the incident occurred.

According to reports, Singh had been shooting at SJ Studio in Saki Naka from around 2 pm until nearly 3 am.

Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) General Secretary Ashok Dubey said the actor had complained of feeling unwell during the shoot and took brief breaks before resuming work.

After the day's filming wrapped up, Singh left for home on a motorcycle. While stopping at a petrol pump during the journey, he reportedly collapsed. He is suspected to have suffered a heart attack.

A post-mortem examination was conducted at Cooper Hospital. Singh is survived by his sister and brother, who live in Kolkata.

FWICE has extended financial assistance to the family and is arranging to transport his body to Kolkata by air for the last rites.

Dubey also said the federation has urged the production house, Malhar Creations, to provide financial support to Singh's family, stressing that production companies should take responsibility for workers, including during work-related travel.

Junior artists' supplier Ravindra Suri has also assured the federation of all possible assistance.
