Kolkata: Bengali actress Sohini Sarkar and Shovan Ganguly have welcomed their first child, a baby boy. Sarkar gave birth to their son at a private hospital in the city on Sunday.

The couple shared the news with their followers on social media, announcing the arrival of their 'newest member'.

In their post, the couple wrote, 'Our brave little boy, our newest member, has arrived. Please bless him.'

The birth of their first child comes around two years after Sarkar and Ganguly got married.

The actress had announced her pregnancy publicly around two months ago on the occasion of their second wedding anniversary.

The ‘Winkle Twinkle’ actress had shared pictures with her husband on their anniversary, in which she was seen sporting a visible baby bump.

Ganguly was dressed in a sky-blue kurta, while she wore a white kurti with a red flower in her hair.

Sharing the pictures, the couple had written, 'On our third wedding anniversary, we are on our way from two to three.'

They tied the knot on July 15, 2024, in an intimate ceremony. The couple had kept their wedding largely private and opted for a close-knit celebration.

Following their wedding, Sarkar shared a picture with Shovan and wrote, 'I will keep you close and take care of you.'

With the arrival of their son, Sarkar and Ganguly have now become a family of three.
