Rashmika Mandanna has revealed that the hit song ‘Tum Mere Na Huye, Na Sahi’ from her upcoming film ‘Thamma’ wasn’t planned at all!

Mumbai, Oct 5 (IANS): Rashmika Mandanna has left fans captivated once again — this time with her energetic moves and infectious charm in ‘Tum Mere Na Huye, Na Sahi’, the first song from her upcoming film ‘Thamma’.
However, the actress has now revealed that the chartbuster track was never part of the original plan — it was born out of a last-minute creative spark that turned into a full-blown musical celebration.
Taking to Instagram, Mandanna shared that the song’s location was chosen on a whim, and the entire shoot was wrapped up in just three to four days.
“The story behind this song is that we were shooting at a very, very stunning location for about 10–12 days, and on the last day, our producers and director suddenly had a banging idea.
They went like, ‘Wait, why don’t we shoot a song here? It’s a crazy cool location, so why not?’ And I was like whyyyyy notttttt,” Mandanna wrote, adding laughing and heart emojis to her post.
The actress revealed that within days, the team managed to put together a complete music video — choreography, sets, costumes, and all. “In about 3/4 days, we made all of this possible, and watching it at the end, we were only massively surprised,” she said.
Mandanna also took a moment to celebrate her team’s hard work. “A big, big shout out to all the dancers, the costume department, the set guys, the lights department, the direction department, the production department — everyone! This song was possible because of your hard work,” she gushed, adding,
“They are now your Tadaka and Alok. I hope you love them, feel them, dance with them, and enjoy watching them.”
Describing the song as one of her most memorable on-set experiences, Mandanna said the number holds a special place in her heart.
“Definitely one of the most fun songs I’ve shot for. The choreography, the music, the beats, the set — everything is just full heart! I hope you all like it and enjoy it as much as I did while shooting for it.”
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, ‘Thamma’ stars Mandanna alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. The highly anticipated drama is slated for a grand Diwali release on October 21.
