Welcome to the Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, is now streaming on JioHotstar after its theatrical release in June

Akshay Kumar-led comedy, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is now available to watch from home. The latest entry in the Welcome franchise began streaming on JioHotstar on August 21.
The streaming platform announced the OTT release on Instagram with a playful message: “This chaos? Too junglee to miss! #WelcomeToTheJungle, now streaming on #JioHotstar.”
The film arrived on the service almost two months after its theatrical release on June 26. It has now moved to streaming after completing its cinema run, giving audiences another chance to catch the ensemble comedy.
Welcome to the Jungle managed to cross the worldwide lifetime collection of the 2007 original Welcome within just five days of its release.
The film eventually collected ₹192.75 crore worldwide. According to box office tracker Sacnilk, it earned ₹134.11 crore net in India, with its domestic gross collection standing at ₹159.15 crore.
The film also continued the franchise's tradition of packing its cast list with familiar faces. Directed by Ahmed Khan, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ reportedly features 34 actors, making it one of the more crowded Hindi film casts in recent years.
Akshay Kumar leads the film alongside Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. The ensemble includes Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal and Johny Lever.
Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Aftab Shivdasani, Mukesh Tiwari and Yashpal Sharma are also part of the cast.
The film additionally features Kiran Kumar, Zakir Hussain, Vindu Dara Singh, Urvashi Rautela, Hemant Pandey, Brijendra Kala, Feroze Khan (Arjun), the late Pankaj Dheer, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry, Jeetu Verma, Vrihi Kodvara and Bhagya Bhanushali.
What is ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ about?
The story follows a businessman who decides to invest his unaccounted money in a film, hoping that the movie will fail and help him deal with the money.
His plan takes a bizarre turn when a film shoot set in a jungle is mistaken for a real military operation. What follows is a chain of misunderstandings involving the characters, their identities and the events unfolding around them.
