Director Dominic Arun has commented on the mixed reception of his latest film, ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, noting that it is impossible to create a movie that satisfies everyone.

Dominic Arun said that the response during the first two weeks exceeded his expectations.

“The response 'Lokah' received in the first two weeks was beyond expectations. I'm still happy about it. More people are coming to watch the film. I was aware that I was trying something new. I believed that I had made a good film. However, I did not expect such a response,” he stated.

On the topic of critiques, Arun shared that he accepts them but focuses on personal satisfaction and the producer’s feedback.

“I am happy with the personal phone calls I'm receiving. The producer is also happy, and that's all I'm concerned about. The important thing is for the person who invests the money to get it back. You can never make a movie that satisfies everyone. There will be criticism, and I accept it,” he clarified.

Looking ahead, Dominic Arun revealed that the screenwriting for the second part is just beginning.

“The screenwriting for the second part is just about to begin. I'm planning to take my time with it. I have an outline of the story. The same approach will continue,” the director added, confirming that he intends to maintain the same creative direction for future installments.
