The much-awaited ‘Ramayana’ has started creating conversations, and Yash’s latest comments about Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s performances have added to the curiosity around Nitesh Tiwari’s epic.

At the film’s grand ‘Pratham Sankalp’ event in Delhi, Yash, who plays the role of Ravana, opened up about the dedication and performances of his co-stars. While praising Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Rama, the ‘KGF’ star said the actor had completely surrendered himself to the role.

“Ranbir, you’ve been phenomenal. The whole country will understand how you’ve surrendered and what magic you’ve created,” Yash said, hinting that audiences are yet to witness a very different side of Ranbir on screen.

But it was his words about Sai Pallavi’s portrayal of Sita that caught attention. Appreciating her performance, Yash said, “Sai, of course, is a fabulous actor. When she plays Sita, her eyes say it all.” His statement has discussions among fans, who are eager to see how the actress brings the iconic character to life.

Yash also praised the film’s supporting cast, calling Rakul Preet Singh’s portrayal of Shurpanakha impressive and saying Shobana’s presence as Kaikasi brings grace to the story. He added that Ravi Dubey’s Lakshman would be a ‘surprise package’ and teased that the film has several unexpected elements.

The event saw the presence of the film’s star-studded cast, including Sunny Deol as Hanuman, along with director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra. Malhotra also thanked Yash for standing with the project as a co-producer and believing in its vision.

Presented by Prime Focus Studios, DNEG, and Monster Mind Creations, ‘Ramayana: Part One’ will release during Diwali 2026, with the trailer arriving globally on July 24.
