Kozhikode: Dr Ananthu S, founder and CEO of Xylem Learning, has launched a film production company, Dr Ananthu Entertainments, marking his entry into the cinema industry. The company’s logo was unveiled at a ceremony in Calicut.

The 29-year-old doctor, known for pioneering “edutainment” in Kerala, said filmmaking was a natural extension of his creative pursuits. “This is about widening and exploring my creative space and way of expression,” he said.

Dr Ananthu Entertainment has begun work on six Malayalam films, including big-budget projects, with official announcements expected soon. The productions will involve collaborations with leading industry professionals.

An MBBS graduate from Alappuzha, Dr Ananthu S gained popularity among students across Kerala for his innovative teaching through Xylem Learning, which serves more than 1 crore online users, 10 lakh app subscribers and 30,000 offline students in competitive exams and school coaching.
