The photograph shows Mohanlal seated in the stands during his visit to the prestigious tennis tournament in London. Dressed in a blue shirt, patterned tie and rimless glasses, the actor was seen enjoying the action from Centre Court. The image was originally shared by Mohanlal on his social media accounts during his visit in July 2023.

Fans were quick to respond after Wimbledon resurfaced the photograph. While several users thanked the tournament for acknowledging the actor, others highlighted his stature beyond Malayalam cinema.

"He is one of the best actors from India, not just Kerala," wrote one user. Another commented, "He is one of the greatest actors in the world, not just Mollywood." A fan affectionately referred to the actor as "Lalettan, our pride," while another joked that Wimbledon was "trying to get Indian reach."

During his 2023 visit, Mohanlal attended the women's singles semi-final between Ukraine's Elina Svitolina and Czech player Marketa Vondrousova. He was accompanied by K Madhavan, and the two also posed for a selfie at the venue.

Apart from sharing photographs of himself at the tournament, Mohanlal had posted pictures of the iconic grass courts and the view from his seat, simply captioning the update, "Wimbledon."

Three years later, the official Wimbledon page's throwback post has revived memories of that visit, delighting fans and generating fresh buzz around the actor's appearance at one of sport's most celebrated events.
