Director Alleppey Ashraf showered praises on actor turned politician Suresh Gopi through a detailed post on his Facebook page. The director revealed the humanitarian face of Suresh Gopi and called him a great personality.

The Facebook post described how Suresh Gopi turned a saviour for late actor Ratheesh’s family. When Ratheesh’s death left a huge financial burden on his family, Suresh Gopi took effort to help them.

Suresh Gopi settled Ratheesh’s debts in Theni and took his family to Thiruvananthapuram. He met the expenditure of the education of Ratheesh’s children like a responsible parent. He considered Ratheesh’s daughter as his own and gifted 100 sovereigns of gold during the wedding.

Aleppey Ashraf also listed Suresh Gopi’s charity works. He noted that those who criticize the actor must realize his greatness as a human being.

“Suresh Gopi loves people irrespective of caste, religion or politics. Unfortunately, Suresh failed to get the recognition he deserve in the film industry,” wrote Ashraf.

The director uncovered the reason behind Suresh Gopi’s resignation from Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (A.M.M.A).

“Suresh Gopi was forced to pay a fine of Rs 2 lakh for not informing A.M.M.A on his programme in a Gulf Country. But when other artistes also violated this rule, the association did not impose any fine on them. Suresh questioned this injustice. He declared that he will not cooperate with A.M.M.A unless the fine levied from him is refunded. He still continues this protest against the association,” revealed Ashraf.

The director appealed everyone to realize the good deeds of Suresh Gopi while criticizing him in the name of politics.
